Language learning strategies used by Indonesian pharmacy students beyond the classroom

Although many scholars have conducted studies on Language Learning Strategies (LLS) around the world, this issue is still new in context of English for Medical Purposes (EMP), especially as used by Indonesian pharmacy students. Further, a majority those previous been using exclusively quantitative research. In response to these empirical and methodological gaps, current research adopts qualitative case study examine LLS students, guided Oxford’s (1990) theory. This utilized in-depth interviews gather information from participants. The thematic analysis semi-structured presented five major strategies learners: engaging social interaction, enriching their vocabulary, web based language learning, practicing through online platforms, employing fun learning. Findings demonstrate that most learning involve platforms.
